Arsenal have reportedly told Lucas Torreira’s representatives that he’ll be going nowhere in January, despite rumoured interest from Napoli.
According to the Daily Star, as cited on Sports Mole, the Gunners have made their stance very clear ahead of the January window.
Gennaro Gattuso has been heavily linked with a January move to sign the player after replacing Carlo Ancelotti in Naples.
The midfield is one area he wants to strengthen, with Torreira shortlisted as a potential target after a mixed season with Arsenal so far.

Arsenal will understandably be as keen as possible to keep their squad together during the January window.
With Mikel Arteta coming back to the club, players like Torreira who were misused under Unai Emery will get another chance to impress.
While he’s never consistently impressed during his time in London, it feels like there could still be a role for him to play.
The Gunners are already light in the middle of the park so unless they have plans to bring someone else in, you can see why they’re being so firm with Torreira.
