Mikel Arteta has agreed to become the next Arsenal manager.
That’s according to the Mirror, who claim that the 37-year-old is now ready to sign a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Emirates following extensive talks with officials.

The report also reveals that Arteta will be allowed to bring in his choice of assistant, with fellow Spaniard Rodolfo Borrell, currently a member of Manchester City’s backroom staff, at the top of his list.
Arteta will be in the dugout alongside Pep Guardiola in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Oxford United, with the Gunners hoping to confirm the appointment shortly after.

It looks as if the Gunners have got their man, and the imminent arrival of the former midfielder will surely please supporters.
Arteta has been learning his trade under Guardiola in recent years, and if he can have half of the impact that Guardiola has had at the Etihad, then his appointment will turn out to be a shrewd decision by Arsenal officials.
