Gattuso wants Torreira to be his first Napoli signing
Gennaro Gattuso reportedly wants to make Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira his first signing at Napoli.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Gattuso, who is poised to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli, has already held talks with the club about a potential swoop for the Arsenal man.
The report claims that Gattuso wants to bring in a new midfielder to lead his team and could swoop for either Torreira or Franck Kessie, who he managed at AC Milan.

Given the growing links to Carlo Ancelotti, there would be a fine sense of irony about a move that sees Torreira move to Napoli if the Italian does take over at Arsenal.
This is not the first time that Napoli have been linked with the player, so these reports will not come as a surprise to too many Arsenal fans.
Torreira’s position in the squad might change once a new manager is confirmed, but under Unai Emery, he looked like a player only going in one direction.
Arsenal will be hoping the new manager, whoever that is, will come in and breath new life into the player or an imminent return to Italy surely looms for the 23-year-old.
