Spurs fans mock Arsenal after Emery’s departure

Tottenham fans have had the opportunity to poke fun at their rivals after the departure of Unai Emery at the Emirates.

Following the Spaniard’s dismissal, reports emerged from the Daily Mail, as cited on social media, that the Gunners regretted not appointing Jose Mourinho when they had the chance.

It is claimed that initial talks between the two parties had taken place, but he, of course, went on to take the Tottenham job.

After getting one over their rivals, these Tottenham fans were clearly enjoying their moment.

There have been some contrasting reports about the links between Mourinho and Arsenal, but with the Portuguese manager now at Tottenham we may never know the truth.

Regardless of whoever comes into to replace Emery, it’s fair to say that Mourinho wouldn’t have been a unanimously popular appointment at the Emirates.

Some sections of the fan base may have been coming round to the idea, but in reality, it’s not an appointment that would’ve been generally approved.
