Willian sends warning to David Luiz ahead of December clash

Chelsea star Willian has vowed to get the better of his fellow countryman David Luiz when the two sides meet in December.

As reported by the Mirror, Willian says he will not allow his friendship to affect his performance on the pitch.

I’ve faced him a few times, he for Chelsea, me for Shakhtar, me for Chelsea, he for PSG, now it’s he for Arsenal. He’s a brother that I have, we met at the age of eight. But on the pitch… there’s no way. If I have to nutmeg him, I will.

Chelsea travel to the Emirates on December 29th in what will be a key game in the hunt to finish inside the top four.

It will certainly be interesting to see what kind of reception Luiz gets from the Chelsea supporters.

He left the Blues for Arsenal in dramatic fashion over the summer, reportedly refusing to train before completing an £8 million move to the North London side.

The Brazilian wasn’t all that popular among their fans after scoring at Stamford Bridge for Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League after his first exit.

He’ll be hoping that he can once again haunt his former side with a goal at the Emirates towards the end of the year as Arsenal aim to push themselves up the league.
