Sevilla have reportedly opened talks over a potential January move to sign Mohamed Elneny from Arsenal.
According to Calciomercato, as cited on TEAMtalk, the La Liga side have met with the player’s agent to discuss a move.
Currently on a season-long loan with Besiktas, the midfielder is expected to move on again in the January window. After struggling in Turkey, he has been heavily linked with a move to Italy as well as Spain.

You feel for Elneny in one sense. He has been out of the first-team picture at Arsenal for a while, but he has struggled since leaving the Gunners on loan.
On paper, Besiktas looked like a good move for him over the summer, but his loan spell has not gone to plan.
He looks set for yet more upheaval in January and that won’t help him in his bid to get back up to his best.

A move to Milan, where he has also been linked, could offer him regular first-team football, but with Stefano Pioli’s side languishing in the bottom half of Serie A, that move too would bring its own challenges.
