Arsenal have been linked with a surprise January move for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall, but the news hasn’t gone down with a section of supporters.
The 22-year-old has been a regular in Sabri Lamouchi’s Forest side this season, helping them to a strong position in the Championship.
Worrall’s impressive displays resulted in Arsenal sending scouts to watch the defender in action against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.
The Gunners look set to be in the market for a new centre-back in the coming months, and when @ZR_7G1 shared the club’s interest in Worrall, the news didn’t go down too well.

The Gunners have been linked with big-money moves for RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and Juventus’ Merih Demiral in recent months, so the rumours regarding Worrall were always going to come as a shock.
There’s no doubting that Worrall has the ability to go on and make it at the top level, however, Arsenal desperately need an injection of immediate quality at the back.
David Luiz and Sokratis have failed to produce a series of consistent displays, but if the Gunners bring in Worrall to fix their defensive woes, it looks as if won’t be greeted with joy at the Emirates.
