Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall and will have scouts watch the player in action against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday evening.
That’s according to Football Insider, who claim that the Gunners will be in the market for a new central defender in the new year and have been impressed by the 22-year-old.
Worrall has come through the academy at the City Ground and spent last season on loan with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
Burnley were reportedly keen on the youngster before he made the temporary move to Scotland, and he has established himself as a regular in Sabri Lamouchi’s Forest side this season.

Worrall has been one of the Championship’s standout performers this season, but is he really good enough to make the step up with the Gunners?
Arsenal desperately need to bolster their central defensive ranks, and the links to Worrall probably won’t go down well with supporters.
The Gunners have been linked with big-money moves for RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and Juventus’ Merih Demiral in recent months, so if they end up with Worrall, it would only add to the frustration around north London.
