Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has emerged as the leading candidate to take over from Unai Emery at the Emirates.
The 45-year-old’s agent Jorge Mendes has a good relationship with Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi, who is amongst a group of Gunners chiefs considering Emery’s position in north London.
Nuno has been in charge at Molineux since May 2017, taking Wolves from a struggling Championship side to a top-half Premier League outfit.

@ltarsenal shared their views on the possibility of Arsenal moving for Nuno on social media.

Nuno has excelled at Wolves over the past two-and-a-half-years and appears to be ready to take over at the Emirates.
He’s got a clear style which has worked against the Gunners on numerous occasions.
Emery still doesn’t know his best XI or formation, so the former goalkeeper already has one up on the Spaniard.
Mendes’ relationship with Sanllehi appears to be crucial in regards to the possible appointment of Nuno, and if he is named as Emery’s successor, the decision would more than likely split opinion in North London.
