Arsenal and Tottenham have been put on red alert regarding the services of target Dries Mertens following more unrest at Napoli.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, cited by reporter Zach Lowy, chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to dock each player 25% of their monthly salary as punishment for the player mutiny.

The report also suggests that De Laurentiis wants to part ways with Mertens in the new year with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Both the Gunners and rivals Spurs have been linked with the Belgian in recent weeks, but they may now look to make their move for the 32-year-old in the coming months following the continued unrest in Naples.

Mertens may be edging towards the final years of his career, but he would certainly be able to offer Arsenal at least two more high-quality seasons.
The dynamic forward has plied his trade with Napoli since 2013, establishing himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in Serie A.
He looks likely to be available for a cut-price fee, and with the futures of star strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both up in the air, it could be a wise decision to move for the Belgian in January.
