Manchester United are confident they can lure RB Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland to Old Trafford, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
The reliable reporter shared the news on social media on Monday afternoon, claiming the Red Devils are ‘convinced’ he’ll make the move to Manchester to link up with fellow countryman Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, Ornstein also revealed that the involvement of agent Mino Raiola could become an issue in any possible deal for the 19-year-old.

The news comes as a blow to Arsenal, who have been linked with the free-scoring forward in recent months following his excellent start to the season.

Haaland’s father, former Leeds and Man City man Alf-Inge Haaland, reportedly made the visit to the Gunners’ London Colney training ground in recent weeks which fuelled speculation of an Emirates move for the teenager.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette’s futures are both up in the air following the club’s woeful form in recent months, so Haaland could have been the next big-money attacking arrival.
The youngster is already built for the Premer League. He’s tall, strong and extremely athletic and has found the back of the net with total ease from a wide range of scoring positions.
However, following the latest update, it appears as if the Gunners will need to look elsewhere if they are in need of a natural goalscorer in the future.
