Unai Emery has infuriated Arsenal supporters with his lack of ambition ahead of today’s game against Southampton.
Speaking to the media ahead of the clash, as cited on social media, Emery was rather coy in his answers.
Despite Southampton being just a point off the foot of the table, Emery said:
Every team is difficult in the Premier League. They need points and are playing better away from home. I think they will be very motivated but we need to impose and show our gameplan on Saturday.
His lacklustre approach to a game Arsenal should really be winning with ease has these fans on social media furious.

While on one hand, Emery has to remain respectful in his comments about Southampton, he really isn’t helping himself with this negative attitude.
He is at risk of talking the Saints up too much. They sit just a point off the bottom of the table and this game represents a perfect opportunity for the Gunners to build some confidence and get some points on the board.
Emery needs to shift his mindset if the club want to turn things around this season.
