Former Arsenal man Santi Cazorla has revealed the hurt he feels at not being able to say goodbye to the Gunners properly.
As cited on social media by popular Arsenal Twitter account @PatrickTimmons1, the 34-year-old said:
When you’re at a club like Arsenal, you don’t realise what it means to be there until you’re gone. I never got to say a proper goodbye. It was the biggest team I played for & I miss everything about Arsenal.
Cazorla was very much a fan favourite during his time in London and after reading the quotes, these Arsenal fans on social media were feeling quite emotional.

Cazorla really is a classy footballer and he’s one of Arsenal’s modern-day Premier League legends.
The Spaniard is one of those players that you never truly appreciate until he’s no longer at the club and it’s great to see the way that he has revived his career in Spain with Villarreal.
After all of the injury torment that he has been through over the years, it’s great to see him back to his best and enjoying the latter stages of his career.
Clearly, he’ll always be welcome back at Arsenal.
