Arsenal fans want Xhaka recalled after the international break

Arsenal fans are hoping to see Granit Xhaka recalled into the squad following the international break.

The Swiss midfielder has not played for the club since the incident against Crystal Palace.

After also being stripped of the captaincy, it remains to be seen if and when the player will pull on the Arsenal shirt again.

Popular Arsenal fan Mr DT from AFTV called for Xhaka to be brought back into the squad following the international break and these fans on social media agree.

It’s interesting to see how some opinions have quickly changed on Xhaka after seeing the limited midfield options that Emery has been left with.

Xhaka’s performances may not have always been pretty, but there are some elements of his game that nobody else brings in midfield.

That may well be the ‘dirty’ side of the game, the bookings and the tackles that need to be made – they may not be flashy but that doesn’t make them any less important.

However, after reports stated he could be sold in January, the chances of a return for Xhaka are looking increasingly slim.
