Arsenal could step up Mourinho interest if they lose to Leicester

A defeat against Leicester City this weekend could see Arsenal step up their interest in former Man United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

According to the Mirror, as cited on Sports Mole, losing to Leicester could be the beginning of the end for Unai Emery.

There have been contrasting reports surrounding Mourinho and the recent links to Arsenal, but this report claims that the Gunners could ‘intensify their pursuit’ if the Foxes come away with all three points.

Arsenal need to make their next move very carefully because coming up they have a winnable run of games that could help save their seemingly derailing season.

After the game against Leicester, they face Southampton, Norwich, Brighton and West Ham in the Premier League.

Three of the four teams coming up are also in a difficult period, while Brighton are enjoying a good run of form in recent weeks.

Arsenal have an opportunity to get some points on the board in a bid to close the gap between themselves and Chelsea for the top four, but will they be confident enough in Emery to deliver that?
