Shkodran Mustafi finally appears to be winning over Arsenal supporters after yet another composed performance in the Europa League.
The German defender has long been a target for criticism among the fan base after his performances last season.
After falling out of favour at the Emirates, he has seen first-team football hard to come by and has been forced to try and impress in the Europa League.
Following another positive display against Vitoria, these Arsenal fans on social media are being forced to eat their own words after previously criticising the player.

It’s great to see Mustafi get back to somewhere that is near his best in the Europa League. His confidence must have been shot to pieces over the summer after a poor end to the previous campaign.
It would’ve taken a lot for the German to come back from stronger from that, but that’s exactly what he’s doing now.
Having him as a reliable option at the back gives Emery some added depth in the centre-back position and his form could soon give the Gunners boss something to think about.
It’s a great tool for Arsenal to be able to call upon a player of his experience in the Europa League. By bringing him into the team, Emery can rest first-team players without losing the leadership qualities at the back.
