Arsenal fans want to see Ozil line up behind Pepe, Lacazette and Aubameyang – will it ever happen?

Arsenal fans are desperate for Unai Emery to hand Mesut Ozil a start in behind the Gunners’ formidable front three – but will supporters ever get to see it?

The German has fallen out of favour at the Emirates and looks certain to leave in the new year.

Recent reports have suggested that Ozil’s training data has been a factor in his absence, with Emery leaving the playmaker out of the matchday squad in the last three fixtures, despite being fully fit.

Ozil may not turn out for the Gunners again, but @AFTVMedia shared their hopes on social media of seeing the midfielder start alongside Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Their post led to these Gunners supporters calling for Emery to listen.

Unfortunately, it appears as if Ozil’s ship has sailed and we wouldn’t be surprised if he is completely frozen out until the new year.

Emery has plenty of midfield and attacking options, and the right mixture of experience and youth gives the Spaniard the option to leave Ozil out entirely.

We, like these Arsenal fans, would love to see the four turn out together.

The best hope fans may have is if Emery gives the four the chance to shine at the Emirates, but we’re resigned to the possibility that it might never happen.
