Arsenal fans react as Vieira labels Emirates role as ‘dream job’

Vieira has previous managerial experience with New York City and has guided Nice to ninth in Ligue 1.

The Frenchman’s impressive managerial career to date has led to plenty of speculation regarding a future move.

And talking to the French media, relayed in an article by Sports Witness, Vieira revealed it is his dream to manage the Gunners.

If it’s my dream to coach Arsenal or France? Yes, like any player, when we do this job we want to touch the very high level.

But the very high level I can touch with OGC Nice from the moment we give ourselves the means to succeed and from the moment the way which we work is quite consistent.

But we do this job, and I do this job, to one day to be the coach of a team that participates in the Champions League.

Arsenal page @WorldwideAFC shared his comments, which led to these supporters getting very excited.

A whole host of former midfielders have been linked with the managerial position in the future.

Vieira, Freddie Ljungberg and Mikel Arteta have all been tipped to take over at the Emirates, so a former star in charge appears a real possibility.

When that will be is anyone’s guess, but if Unai Emery receives the boot over the next 12 months, Vieira could be a serious candidate to take over, and his potential appointment would seemingly go down well.
