Manchester United will reportedly make Arsenal-linked Erling Braut Haaland their primary target next summer if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still at the club.

According to Spanish outlet AS, as cited on Sport Witness, the striker is wanted by both United and Real Madrid next summer.

Haaland has been heavily linked with a number of Premier League sides, including Arsenal, following his stunning form for Red Bull Salzburg.

With this rising interest, can the Gunners still compete?

Arsenal missing out on the player is looking increasingly likely. The club had been linked with a double swoop for both Haaland and his Salzburg team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai.

The latter now looks to be the more realistic target of the two, with Emery still keen to strengthen in midfield.

Having worked with Solskjaer before, there may be quite the appeal for Haaland to join Manchester United, while Real Madrid will always be extremely difficult to turn down for the youngster if they do come calling.

Few would have been predicting such a rapid rise for Haaland and it looks like Arsenal may just fall victim to the huge demand for his services.
