Arsenal fans react as Aubameyang scoops Player of the Month award

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for September, and the news, as expected, has gone down well with plenty of Arsenal fans.

The 30-year-old scored in all four of the Gunners’ league fixtures, helping Unai Emery’s side go undefeated in September.

The Gabon international, who also scooped the prize back in October 2018, pipped Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin de Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, John McGinn, Heung-Min Son, Ricardo Perreira and Callum Wilson to the award.

And these Gunners supporters were quick to react to the news on social media.

Aubameyang’s vital goals against Tottenham, Watford, Aston Villa and Manchester United helped Arsenal pick up six points in September, and he is now just one short of top scorers Tammy Abraham and Sergio Aguero.

His displays last month have rightly been recognised, and Gunners fans will be hoping his fine form in front of goal can continue for the rest of the year.

If Aubameynag can continue to get his name on the scoresheet on a regular basis, he’ll more than likely be up for this award again, and he could breeze past his 22-goal league tally from last season.
