Mesut Ozil appears to be edging towards an Arsenal exit in the new year, and some Gunners fans have taken to social media to share their delight at the news.
Fenerbahce have opened talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for the playmaker, which could see the 30-year-old spend the second half of the season with the Turkish giants.
Turkish newspaper Fotomac, cited by Sports Witness, even claim that Ozil has already discussed a move to Turkey with his wife, who has given him the green light ahead of a potential deal.
Ozil has featured just twice this season and has been left out of the matchday squad for the Gunners’ last three fixtures despite being available for selection.

A move away from the Emirates in the new year looks extremely likely, and it appears as if the German won’t be missed by a section of Arsenal fans.
He’s been a great servant in north London and is adored by plenty of Gunners supporters following his move from Real Madrid in 2013, however, his final few months at the Emirates could turn sour.
Unai Emery clearly isn’t a fan of the midfielder, so a temporary move away would more than likely lead to a permanent exit in the summer, which would then free up finances which could go towards defensive reinforcements.
Many fans won’t be happy with Emery’s treatment towards Ozil, but at least it looks as if the German finally knows where he stands at the Emirates.
