Arsenal fans produce brilliant responses as Tottenham supporters try to get one back on the Gunners

Tottenham crashed out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday after they fell to an embarrassing shoot-out defeat to Colchester United.

Maurico Pochettino fielded a strong side against the League Two outfit, however, after failing to take numerous chances in normal time, Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura then failed to convert from the spot, which allowed Tom Lapslie to win it for John McGreal’s side.

As expected, Arsenal fans were quick to mock their rivals following the defeat, with Unai Emery’s men brushing aside Nottingham Forest 5-0 to book their place in the last 16.

Tottenham supporters were quick to remind their rivals that they haven’t finished above them in the Premier League for 1,228 days, which only set up Gunners fan account @LTArsenal to hit back with this brilliant reply.

Things couldn’t have gone much better for the Gunners on Tuesday.

Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin all made their return from injury, while youngsters Gabriel Martinelli, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson all got on the scoresheet.

Tottenham’s result put the icing on the cake for the red side of North London, and Arsenal fans will more than likely continue to mock their rivals over the coming days before the weekend’s fixtures.
