Arsenal fans have continued their praise for Nicolas Pepe after he ended his long wait for a first Gunners goal against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The forward came in for plenty of criticism in the week from the likes of Charlie Nicholas and Martin Keown, but as usual, Arsenal fans were quick to back their player on social media.
The Ivorian repaid the faith shown in him by the supporters on Sunday at the Emirates. He was handed spot-kick duties from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and coolly converted to bring Unai Emery’s men level just before the hour mark.

Arsenal ended up winning 3-2 after late goals from Callum Chambers and Aubameyang, but these Gunners fans were quick to praise Pepe for another solid display.

As we’ve mentioned before, Pepe was always going to need time to settle into Premier League life.
Even though he has just one goal and one assist to his name in his opening seven appearances, his displays have been extremely impressive, considering he is yet to reach full fitness at the Emirates.
His ability to beat a man with ease has caught the eye in the opening months, and with a goal now to his name, it won’t be long until Pepe regularly adds to that tally.
