After getting the job done against BATE in the Europa League, Arsenal turn their attention towards league action, with Southampton due to arrive at the Emirates tomorrow.
Unai Emery’s men are currently just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester United, hence, a chance to finish in the top-four is on the cards if they manage to be consistent enough in the last part of this season.
They are up against a Southampton team who, despite losing to Cardiff in their previous game, are a much better unit under Ralph Hasenhuttl. In fact, the Austrian’s first win in charge of the Saints came against the Gunners back in December.
In terms of injuries, Ainsley Maitland-Niles didn’t feature in the previous game due to illness and will be assessed. Laurent Koscielny went off early in the second half on Thursday and would not start tomorrow.
