Juventus to demand €20m for Arsenal target Benatia

Juventus have reportedly set a price tag of €20 million for Medhi Benatia ahead of the January transfer window, amid claims that Arsenal could make a move to sign the defender.

Benatia has long been linked with a move away from Juventus and in recent times, reports have indicated that the Gunners are keen on a January swoop.

The Moroccan international has made just six starts in all competitions for Massimiliano Allegri’s side this season and it has been reported that he has handed in a transfer request.

According to fresh claims from Tuttosport, as cited by Calciomercato, Juventus are growing increasingly open to the sale of Benatia and will listen to offers worth just €20 million in January.

Arsenal have had little trouble in the final third this season but have often been criticised for their defensive displays.

This appears to have prompted the club to explore the possibility of signing a centre-back in January, with a low-cost deal for Juventus star Benatia now appearing to be a potential move.
