Reported Arsenal target Medhi Benatia had reportedly handed in a transfer request at Juventus.
The Moroccan star has found game time hard to come by this season as Max Allegri has decided that Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are his first-choice centre-backs and as such, he wants a move.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 31-year-old as Unai Emery looks to upgrade his defensive options, but they’ll face competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
Benatia could be tempted by a move to the Emirates as he’d be certain to play each week, but he is so highly regarded that there will be a number of clubs who he could be first-choice for.
The favourites to sign Benatia are fellow Serie A side AC Milan. With Mateo Musacchio and Mattia Caldara injured and having sold Bonucci back to Juventus in the summer, Milan are keen to add reinforcements.
