Arsenal have reportedly been joined by Inter Milan in their pursuit of FC Porto captain Hector Herrera.
The Gunners were linked with a move for the Mexican international earlier on this week, with a host of clubs keeping tabs on his situation at Porto ahead of the expiration of his contract.
Herrera looks unlikely to pen a new deal with the Liga NOS giants, indicating that he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer next summer.

This appears to have not only piqued the interest of Arsenal but also Inter Milan who, according to claims from Calciomercato, are considering a move for the midfielder.
Herrera has been a vital cog in the midfield of Porto for some time now but it seems he will seek pastures new ahead of next season, with several clubs across Europe evidently attentive to his contractual predicament.
The report from Calciomercato states that Herrera has already outlined his wage demands, as he looks to earn €3 million per year from his proposed new move.
