Morocco boss Herve Renard is planning to stage talks with Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi over a place in his squad in the near future.
Football London reports that the form Arsenal’s summer signing has shown is not going unnoticed on an international level.
After arriving at the club this summer from Ligue 2 side Lorient, Guendouzi was largely seen as a prospect for the future but he has cemented a place in Unai Emery’s side during the opening few games of the season.
Having not played in a competitive fixture for France, Guendouzi is free to change his nationally, despite featuring for the World Cup winners at youth level.
The youngster would be available to play for Renard’s squad through his father, who is Moroccan-born.
Guendouzi has already outlined his ambitions to reach the senior squad for France, so Renard may have to do some convincing him in order to call him up.
