This is a blow for the Gunners, especially after only one game played so far this season.

The versatile youngster was playing left back for Unai Emery’s side before he was substituted. New Summer signing Stephan Lichtsteiner replaced Maitland-Niles, with the Gunners going on to lose to the defending Champions.

Arsenal have been handed a boost however. with Nacho Monreal returning to action this weekend as Arsenal continue their tough start to the season against Chelsea.
