Arsenal make contact over potential future deal for Barcelona attacker

Arsenal have contacted Barcelona over a possible deal to sign Ousmane Dembele in the future, should the Frenchman become unhappy at the Nou Camp.

Spanish journalist Kike Marin claims that Sven Mislintat has previously been in contact with the La Liga champions to discuss a move for Dembele.

Doubts have been raised about the future of winger at the Nou Camp, despite only recently joining in a big-money deal last summer.

The signing of Malcom from Bordeaux has left many people questioning whether the former Borussia Dortmund winger will fit in.

Unai Emery appears keen to strengthen in the final third before the summer transfer window closes.

The Gunners have been linked with an ambitious move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, but those claims have been played down.

Dembele is a player that Mislintat knows well from his time at Dortmund.

The winger could become the fourth former Dortmund player to make the move to London after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sokratis and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
