Barcelona will rival Arsenal for a deal to sign Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla this summer.
The Mirror reports that Barcelona are keen to snap up the midfielder, who Sevilla value at close to £40 million.
The La Liga champions had been hoping to sign Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain, but that deal now looks unlikely.
After missing out on the Frenchman, they are hoping to turn their attention towards a deal for the former Stoke man.
N’Zonzi has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal for some time, but speculation about his future has intensified following the arrival of Unai Emery.
Emery worked with the player at Sevilla and is believed to be keen on the idea of bringing him to London.
Reports in Spain have suggested that the player has informed Sevilla of his desire to leave the club as interest mounts in his services this summer.
