Unai Emery lines up one of his ex-players as first Arsenal signing
Arsenal are ready to swoop for Paris Saint Germain midfielder Adrian Rabiot, according to Calciomercato, via the Daily Mirror.
Rabiot was excluded from the 23-man French squad that will travel to Russia this summer and he blames PSG for a lack of playing time.
Reports claim that Arsenal will now move for the midfielder, offering him assurances about regular playing time in an attempt to convince him to move to the Emirates.
The new Arsenal boss knows Rabiot well, having worked with him in Paris, where the pair won the domestic treble the season before Emery left.
The PSG man has just one year remaining on his current deal which could allow Arsenal to secure the Frenchman for a cut-price fee.
This could be an important part of this deal as it is reported that Emery is going to be working with a tight budget during his first transfer window as Gunners boss.
