German discusses rumours linking him with summer move to Arsenal

Hoffenheim head coach Julian Nagelsmann has played down reports linking him with moves to Arsenal and their London rivals, Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger announced he would be ending his 22-year stay in North London on Friday, whilst The Daily Star report that the Chelsea job could become available this summer with Antonio Conte keen on a return to Italy,

At the age of 30, Nagelsmann is the youngest coach in the Bundesliga and has impressed by finishing fourth and qualifying for the Champions League last term.

They have also done well this campaign, sitting fifth in the table and two points off fourth-placed Bayer Leverkusen with three games remaining.

In an interview with Sky Germany, Nagelsmann was asked if there was any truth behind the rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League:

I don’t think so, no. These are just rumours.I focus on myself and my team the focus is on nothing else. I’m not annoyed by the discussions, I focus on myself and my team and want to make a good game here today.

Arsenal have already begun their search for the club’s next manager and Nagelsmann is expected to be one of the men they discuss about taking over from Wenger.
