Huge injury blow for Arsenal ahead of CSKA Moscow clash

According to the Mirror, David Ospina may have to start again on Thursday as Petr Cech is a doubt for the CSKA Moscow clash in the Europa League.

Ospina played in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Stoke City on Sunday and he looks likely that he is going to play again as Cech still hasn’t shaken off the minor groin problem which left him out for the game against the relegation threatened side.

Ospina has played in every Europa League game for Arsenal this season, but many thought that Cech would come into the side as they progressed further into the competition.

Arsene Wenger had this to say about Cech’s injury

He’s better today, he will go out for a little session maybe now. I still think he will be a little short for Thursday.

Wenger then went on to talk about Alexandre Lacazette’s recovery from injury

He’s still lacking a competitive edge a bit, he has been out for two months, he worked hard. He still lacks a fraction maybe. In training he looks sharp. How long can he last in a game? I don’t know. He needs one or two more games.

Wenger then said that he doesn’t know whether the French striker would start against CSKA.
