Arsenal will look to add to their midfield in the summer and reports have suggested that the Gunners are eyeing a shock swoop for former Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
The 32-year-old has spent the best part of six years at Real Madrid following a £27m move Tottenham in August 2012 and has been an integral part of their success in recent years, helping them win three Champions League trophies.
However, Zinedine Zidane is planning a huge overhaul of his ageing squad this summer and Modric could be one of the names told to pack their bags, and the former Dinamo Zagreb standout is keen on a return to the Premier League.
According to Diario Gol, both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in bringing the midfield maestro back to the Premier League, and Modric is particularly keen on returning to London where he spent four great years.
Arsenal do need some midfield additions in the summer to help build towards a real push for the top four and potentially more next season but it could be tricky persuading a former Spurs fan favourite to come to the Emirates.
