After seeing off Swedish side Ostersund 4-2 on aggregate last night in the last 32 of the Europa League, Arsenal knew that a potential heavyweight clash awaited them in the next round.
In today’s draw, Arsenal were drawn against Serie A giants AC Milan in the last 16 of the competition in what is certainly the headline clash of the round.
The first leg will take place at the San Siro on Thursday March 8th, with the return leg at the Emirates the following week, Thursday March 15th.
Milan had a torrid start to the campaign but have turned things around under Gennaro Gattuso, unbeaten in their last 11 games across all competitions, winning eight.
