Agent of 23-year-old wanted by Arsenal admits a big offer could be enough to sign him

Arsenal are showing a strong interest in Juventus defender Daniele Rugani with his agent claiming interest from “various top European clubs ” as reported by Football Italia.

The defender has struggled to force a way through to the team on a regular basis which has sparked talk of him wanting a move after falling down the pecking order to Medhi Benatia this season.

Stefan de Vrij is also a summer target for Juventus which would open the door for Arsenal to make a move for the 23-year-old.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is very keen on bringing the player to the club in a deal which would cost the club £25 million to complete it to improve their defensive options.

The Italian’s agent spoke about the situation of his player:

Rugani is an international player. He could play in any league, so also in the UK.

He’s young. Elegant in the way of playing. I know that various top European clubs follow him. Some are English.

Rugani is a well-respected player and is well regarded around Europe but would favour a move to the North London club.

He has an incredible record of when he was an under 21 international playing in every Serie A game without picking up a single yellow card.

The agent went onto add:

Arsenal? In the past, some seasons ago, we spoke with them. At the moment there is no official contact with them.

He is happy at Juventus. He does not want to leave Turin. And he hopes to play continuously. However, if they were to receive a big offer for him, maybe he could be sold.
