The German World Cup winner agreed to terms over a new three-and-a-half-year contract last week and put pen-to-paper on the deal this morning. The contract is worth £350,000-a-week before tax.
At risk of leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season, Ozil’s future was made a priority by Arsenal who have seemingly allowed Alexis Sanchez to leave in order to retain the services of Ozil, along with paving the way for the addition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund which was made official this morning.
Ozil will remain at the club until the summer of 2021, meaning he will be 32 by the time his contract is due to expire.
