Arsenal want to bolster their defence this month and David Ornstein has reported that the Gunners are interested in signing Kostan Manolas from Roma before the 11PM deadline.
Hearing whispers (nothing concrete) Arsenal have been exploring possibility of signing David Luiz from Chelsea as part of Giroud deal – as per @DavidWoodsStar yesterday – or Roma’s Kostas Manolas. Would be one or other, no idea if it will happen. Defence a clear concern #AFC #CFC

After being rebuffed in their efforts to sign David Luiz from Chelsea as part of the deal to sell Olivier Giroud to the Blues, Arsene Wenger is still searching for a potential defensive recruit and Manolas is on his radar.

The impressive Greek centre-back has cemented himself as one of the best defenders in Serie A during his time with Roma and has also been linked with Chelsea in recent months.
Having sold Emerson Palmieri to Chelsea this week for £25m and are yet to replace the left-back, Roma would likely be unwilling to part ways with another defender this late in the window but Arsenal are hopeful for a deal.
Rob Holding will not be leaving the club this month amid loan interest from Burnley.
