Arsenal weren’t at their fluid best last time out against Burnley and they required the full 90 minutes to find the breakthrough from the penalty spot, but they escape Turf Moor with all three points, something which visiting teams have struggled to do in the last 18 months.
That win helped the Gunners gain ground on those around them in the race for Champions League qualification as Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool all were unable to pick up more than a point in the last round of fixtures.
Arsene Wenger’s side now have a short turnaround ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with Huddersfield at the Emirates and he’ll again be without Mesut Ozil who remains sidelined through illness.
