Arsenal almost landed French winger Thomas Lemar from Monaco on deadline day, with boss Arsene Wenger now unsure whether or not to go back in for the player in January, the Mirror report.
It was reported that the Gunners offered the reigning French champions £90 million for Lemar, however, they ran out of time to finalise the deal and Lemar remained in Monaco.
Many believe that it is only matter of time until Lemar moves to the Emirates with the player being heavily linked all summer for a move to the Premier League.

However, when asked about his January plans for his squad, Wenger hinted at possibly moving one or two players on rather than bringing any in.
Speaking ahead of the Gunners Europa League clash with Red Star Belgrade, when asked about the upcoming window Wenger said:
At the moment I have a big squad, the problem for me is to keep everyone together until the end of the season. Do we go into the transfer market in January? I don’t know yet.
Arsenal have only brought in four permanent players in the past five January windows, which suggests that Wenger isn’t a fan of the busy January sales.
