In 2004, a brawl was taking place in the tunnel at Old Trafford after Arsenal’s 49-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League came to an end when Manchester United defeated the Gunners 2-0.
Tempers boiled over after the game and players from both sides came together in the tunnel when an infamous act took place.
An Arsenal player allegedly threw a slice of pizza at the United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and for the last 13 years, no one knew the identity of the culprit, until now.

During a shoot of A League of Their Own, Cesc Fabregas confirmed that he was indeed the Arsenal player that threw the pizza slice at the legendary United manager. Recounting the incident, Fabregas explains how he came to throwing pizza at Ferguson:
All of a sudden, I heard noises and I thought what’s happening? So I go out with my slice of pizza and I saw Sol Campbell, Rio Ferdinand, Martin Keown… everyone pushing each other.
I was like I want to get in but I don’t know how to and I threw, just threw it. Once I saw it was hitting, like, who it was hitting, which I didn’t mean…
I apologise Sir Alex, really didn’t mean to do that.
Perhaps this confession will finally give Sir Alex some closure on an event that has haunted him for over a decade.
