Manchester City will pursue a loan move for Alexis Sanchez next year, after missing out on the Chilean.
The Daily Mirror has claimed that City missed out on a deal because Arsenal’s bid for Monaco star Thomas Lemar collapsed.
However, City are determined not to miss out on their top target, with Pep Guardiola eyeing a loan move next year, which may give City an option to buy Sanchez.

City thought they had landed Sanchez after Ivan Gazidis contacted counterpart Soriano informing him that a Sanchez deal would be reached after the Gunners had signed Lemar.
However the Monaco winger was not keen on a move to the Emirates, therefore signalling the end of the road for City in their chase of Sanchez.
It will be interesting to see what Sanchez does next regarding his future, but City will not stay away for long, as they are ready to return in the new year and snatch their man.
