It has been reported by Sky Sports in Italy that Italian giants Inter Milan have had a loan move rejected by Arsenal for the German centre back Shkodran Mustafi.
It is understood that Inter Milan are set to make another bid for the World Cup winner. It is likely that the Serie A side will put in a permanent bid for the defender with Arsenal looking to recoup back what they paid for the 25-year-old last summer.
Mustafi featured on the bench for the Gunners in the opening game of the season against Leicester City in the thrilling 4-3 win after his extended leave after his crucial summer appearance in Germany’s Confederations Cup win.
The Arsenal defender made 26 appearances in the Premier League last season and scoring two goals after he picked up three injuries that kept him out for a combined total of two months. The defender helped Arsenal claim their 2nd FA Cup in three years and break the record for the most FA Cup wins with 13 titles.
Mustafi is set to appear for Arsenal this weekend against Premier League rivals Stoke City, Arsene Wenger is looking for another win that would take Arsenal top of the table.
