At last, the Premier League kicks off on Friday night at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal welcome Leicester City.
Arsenal will be hoping to start their campaign better than they did this time last year as they were beaten 4-3 by Liverpool.
The visitors go into this season looking to build on a positive run of form under Craig Shakespeare, who replaced Claudio Ranieri in February.
Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up against Leicester:
GK: Petr Cech
Arsenal’s number one keeper – a certain starter.
CB: Rob Holding
Another commanding performance in the Community Shield. Holding will start with Mustafi, Gabriel and Koscielny all unavailable.
CB: Per Mertersacker
Mertesacker was substituted mid-way through the first half in Sunday’s encounter with Chelsea.
Wenger has a tough call to make between Mertesacker and Kolašinac, who performed well when coming on.
CB: Nacho Monreal
One of the first names on the the timesheet, Monreal continues to excel in defence for Arsenal.
RWB: Hector Bellerin
Bellerin struggled to create anything substantial on Sunday, he will be hoping to change that against Leicester.
LWB: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Ox was one of Arsenal’s best-attacking outlets against Chelsea and is should start against the Foxes.
CM: Granit Xhaka
A man of the match performance against Chelsea. Xhaka will be integral to Arsenal’s success this season.
CM: Mohamed Elneny
With Ramsey lacking match fitness, I expect Elneny to start.
RF: Alex Iwobi
Impressed against Chelsea and I don’t expect Wenger to risk Ozil.
ST: Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal’s number nine. The Frenchman will be hoping to score on his Premier League debut.
LF: Danny Welbeck
With Sanchez ruled out with an injury, Welbeck is likely to start again in his place.
