Welbeck linked with £30 million Everton switch

Danny Welbeck has been linked with a switch to Everton, according to the Daily Mirror.

Everton have been heavily linked with Olivier Giroud, however, if they are unable to sign the Frenchman then their attention will quickly turn to Welbeck.

The Toffees are keen on signing another striker after selling Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and having just Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez as their current striking options.

Welbeck is another target for Ronald Koeman, however, reports state a fee of around £30 million would be needed to prise the England international away from the Emirates Stadium.

With Arsenal participating in the Europa League this season, it is unlikely that Arsene Wenger will want to sell one of his forward options, especially if first choice striker Alexandre Lacazette was to pick up an injury early into his career in North London.

Welbeck arrived at Arsenal on deadline day in the summer transfer window of 2014 for a £16 million fee.
