A move away for the unsettled 28-year-old Lucas Perez is edging closer as his agent is set to travel to London to discuss a move away from the Emirates, according to AS.com.
Rodrigo Fernandez, Perez’s agent, is attempting to allow a move back to his former club Deportivo. An offer is on the table from the Spanish side who finished 16th in La Liga last season, believed to be around €10m, an offer which is reportedly tempting for the Gunners.
Perez and his agent have endured this same situation before when the Spaniard was at PAOK, Fernandez was sent to unlock the transfer in order for the move to take place.
With still more than a month to go in the transfer window, it looks certain Perez will leave the Premier League side just 12 months after signing.
In his one season at Arsenal, he scored just one goal in 11 Premier League games but simply wasn’t given enough time to prove himself.
But now with Arsenal securing Alexandre Lacazette, their club-record signing, Perez will have an even slimmer chance of game-time and wants a return home to Spain, Which agent Rodrigo Fernandez tasked with making that happen.
