Five Things We Learned: Arsenal 3-2 Swansea

In the eighth round of the Premier League, Arsenal faced Swansea at home, which has proven to be one of the toughest games for Arsenal in the last couple of seasons. With both Manchester City and Spurs dropping points, the game versus Swansea could be vital at the end of the season.

Arsenal was undoubtedly the dominant side in the first half, scoring two goals through the reborn Theo Walcott. It looked like it was going to be 2-0 for Arsenal at half-time, but a big mistake from Granit Xhaka allowed Swansea to get back into the game through a great strike by Sigurdsson.

The second half was a real spectacle, it had everything that the neutral fan could’ve wished for. Mesut Özil scored a birthday goal, by which Arsenal led 3-1, but 10 minutes later Swansea got back into the game. A few minutes after that, referee Jonathan Moss, who didn’t have the best game of his career, showed Granit Xhaka a red card. After that, it was Swansea who kept pushing for the equalizer, which fortunately for Arsenal, didn’t come.

With all that being said, let’s take a look at the five things we learned in this game!
