According to Feindt Ozil will also take over the number 10 at Arsenal. Which is usually worn by the loaned out Jack Wilshere. It is well known that the German international favours the number 10 and has been after it at Arsenal for some time. Although it wasn’t said to be a stumbling block in negotiations.
Gunners fans will be pleased if this news is accurate as Ozil has been a revelation in the Premier League since his arrival in the summer of 2013. Tying key players down to new contracts is just as vital as signing new players. The stability in a squad is something Arsene Wenger is as strong proponent of.
Ozil’s contract was up in the summer of 2018, along with fellow teammate Alexis Sanchez. Both are seen to be key members of the squad and the board as well as Wenger are keen to get their contracts extended as soon as possible.
