rsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is set to be offered a two year contract extension which will keep the Chilean at the club until 2020.
According the The Mirror, Sanchez wants approximately £200,000 which will make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed contract negotiations are underway and also hopes Mesut Ozil will also agree to a contract extension.
Ozil is currently the club’s top earner with £140,000 per week, but, if a contract extension is agreed, the German could be earning approximately £200,000 which will make him the club’s highest paid player.
There are concerns over Sanchez however, as he wants to earn a similar amount of money along with having a release clause in his contract.
Sanchez this season has been playing through the middle after a frustrating time last season which was plagued by poor form and injury.
There is still doubt as to whether Sanchez will agree a new contract extension which could also depend on whether any big European clubs come in for him.
